I have posted a bunch of these "athlete of the year awards" from different countries before. Here is yet another one.... 38 year old Chantal Petitclerc was awarded the CBC's top Canadian athlete award in what they called the "twilight of her career"

"In the twilight of her career, the 38-year-old athlete entered five events (100 m, 200 m, 400 m, 800 m and 1,500 m), and won them all, setting two world records (200 m and 800 m) in the process." I personally wouldn't call that kind of success by those names, but hey..... Here's the whole
article.
